Say these to your children, while you still have time.

Me and a younger friend during her matriculation.

Celebrate your children. Compliment something specific about them. Commend them and gift them an encouraging word. Do this often; your words make a difference.

Listen to their dreams, their joys, their hopes, their fears... and most importantly, listen to their heart; listen with mercy, empathy, and without judgment.

Hear the full story of a matter before forming a final opinion on it.

Speak to them with gentleness. Tell them that they are beautiful, strong, and you respect them, you believe in them, and you love them.

A dear late friend and a child.

Be a small picture that reminds them of their heavenly Father’s great love for them. John 3:16 AMP

Do these things, not just today, but often. Your little girls and boys won't be little forever, now is your opportunity to give them your time, and your attention and to show them your love.

Remind your precious children that they are beautiful, strong, worthy of love, and have the potential to do great things.

Share this with a parent or teacher.
